The Gift of Confidence
Welcome! If you are visiting
this page you probably want to learn more about Career Vision
and our special winter pricing. For a limited time*
we are offering a special savings on our Silver Advantage
Assessment Package.
What is included in the Silver Advantage Assessment?
The Silver Advantage is a comprehensive and personalized career
planning program. It is valuable for anyone considering their
career options, including students selecting colleges and
majors, individuals thinking about graduate programs or adults
in the workforce considering a transition. It gives you a
vocabulary to describe yourself and concrete information about
the type of work or career that would be rewarding. This assessment
is designed for the busy family who wants to make an informed
investment in their career planning.
The assessment is a two-step process:
|
   1.
|
Register
and complete a half day of assessments that include
12 aptitude (natural talents) measurements, and an interest
and values survey.
|
|
   2.
|
A
1.5 hour consultation is typically scheduled about a
week after testing is completed. While we encourage
everyone to bring another family member to the session,
it is required that a parent participate for students
under the age of 18 years. This can be a great kick-off
for students preparing for their transition from high
school. During the interpretive session, the consultant
explains the assessment results, discusses a list of
6-10 career recommendations personalized to the individual,
and provides a plan of clear next steps in the career
exploration and decision-making process. We make moving
into the exploration phase easy by providing you with
packets of information on each recommended career in
your Career Vision portfolio.

Additional Benefit: Membership in our Alumni Association
entitles you to schedule additional consulting sessions throughout
your working years at no additional cost. As a research organization,
not only do we want to help ensure your success, we also love
to hear about your progress.

What makes the Career Vision assessment and consulting
process different?
Our
inclusion of the Ball Aptitude Battery® - a series of tests
that objectively measure an individual's innate talents -
significantly distinguishes us from high schools, colleges
and independent counselors. Our process is grounded in current
scientific research and best practices. Our consultants are
credentialed and experienced, not only in career counseling
and working with families, but also in synthesizing information
from a variety of assessment instruments. They are the best
in their field and love what they do. Why are aptitudes so
important? Aptitudes answer the question, "What am I good
at?" - which is critical in making informed college and career
decisions. Research has found that aptitudes (natural talents)
and interests are the best predictors of successful performance
- and yet aptitudes are not included in most career assessments.
Additional Frequently
Asked Questions
A Young Adult's Career Vision Experience
"After graduating with a degree in Politics from Princeton
University and working for two months in Education Reform,
I felt dissatisfied with my job. My Career Vision consultant
revealed that the work I was involved in did not align with
my quantitative, spatial and problem-solving aptitude profile.
Had I known this information before entering college,
I would have chosen a different major and career path.
Fortunately, I was able to go on to earn a graduate degree
in Civil Engineering and today am happily working as a Structural
Engineer."
