Thinking about taking
the next step?

Career VisionSM is a personal service dedicated to helping people find direction, make the very best career decisions, and achieve success as well as satisfaction in their careers.

Learn more about the Career Changer Program by calling 630.469.6270!

According to a Conference Board survey, February, 2007, less than half of all Americans reported being satisfied with their jobs. For younger employees, especially those under the age of 25, the level of satisfaction is at the lowest level in the survey's 20-year history.

If your survey results suggest that you may not be on the best career path, we can help.

  • First, it is important to recognize that you are not alone. How many adults do you know that have jokingly said "I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up"?

  • Second, there is a science and art to career planning and management. It works if you apply it. The problem is that most people never invested the time to define what was best for them.

  • Third, you have to commit to making a change. Ask yourself if you are ready to step up and be proactive. Career Vision has created the Career Changer Program, a customized program for CareerPath users. The entire program is personalized and is based on the critical ingredients of effective career planning (shown on the sidebar).

What's involved?

We treat each client as an individual. An initial 30- minute conference with your consultant (via telephone or in person) is important in understanding your unique situation.

Your online assessments begin with an objective measure of your 12 different aptitudes to learn more about your specific talents or natural gifts. Not engaging the full range of your abilities is a major reason for dissatisfaction. Other assessments include excellent self-report instruments to capture information about your interests and values. The assessment takes about 2.5 hours to complete.

Following completion of your assessments, your consultant will schedule a 1.5 hour conference to explain:

  • What the assessment results mean in relation to your "fit" with your current situation. For adults, understanding what and why something is or is not working is important in considering a change.

  • The recommendations about alternate career paths possible education requirements will help you establish a plan for moving ahead.

Where people run into most problems is not following through with the next steps. This special program includes two 30-minute follow up sessions with your consultant to provide expert support and keep you on track!

If you are ready to make a commitment to improving your situation, learning more about yourself, and how to manage your career, this special program offer is currently available for $600.

Client Stories

"After graduating with a degree in Politics from Princeton University and working for two months in Education Reform, I felt dissatisfied with my job. Career Vision revealed that the work I was involved in did not align with my quantitative, spatial and problem-solving aptitude profile. Had I known this information before entering college, I would have chosen a different major and career path. Fortunately, I was able to go on to earn a graduate degree in Engineering and today, am happily working as a Structural Engineer."

Tanya Luthi, Princeton University Graduate

"After 15 successful years in corporate buying, I felt dissatisfied with my work. Career Vision gave me insight into my aptitudes and how integrating these with my interests could lead to greater job satisfaction. Though happily transitioned to an entrepreneurial position, I wish I had experienced Career Vision years ago."
