Career Planning Resources for Alumni
Career Vision Alumni Network: Partners for Life
Please think of Career Vision as your lifetime
Family Career Resource. Here are a few of the ways we keep
the "care" in career for you:
We
are your career home. As a Career Vision alum, you have a
great resource and access to career support for life. Your
work profile, as developed through participation in one of
our Advantage
Packages, offers real value and applicability throughout
your life. It also gives you access to our consultants for
future consultations related to additional career decisions.
We can meet at our Glen Ellyn location or conduct the coaching
by telephone, whichever is convenient for you. These services
are based on an hourly rate. Call us today to schedule your
hour or focused half-hour appointment.
Our staff of
professionals is an informed, reliable resource for your career
development efforts at every stage of life. Whether you are
no longer satisfied with your current situation, considering
going back to school or evaluating several exciting options,
our goal is to help you achieve a satisfying and successful
career. Clients* return for guidance in situations involving
work, education, or retirement and when they value a trained,
objective partner to help them evaluate, choose and plan a
strategy. Their reasons are as varied as the individuals.
What decisions and issues are you facing where you could
benefit from an expert who knows your talents and can be an
objective sounding board for you?
- Add variety and challenge
to your current job with new responsibilities or projects.
- Identify and evaluate
options for additional education and training.
- Expand and investigate
career options.
- Improve your focus
when making a decision.
- Increase adjustment
of self, job and work environment.
- Prepare for a promotion
or a lateral move in your organization.
- Change jobs or career
fields, either by choice or as a result of decreasing opportunities.
- Reduce workload due
to personal commitments, balance issues or phasing into
retirement.
- Evaluate a job opportunity
such as a new position, a relocation, a move to management
or a new project or team responsibility.
- Prepare for a career
discussion with a manager.
Our alumni services are based on best practices and tailored
to meet your ongoing career concerns. Additionally, your story
and successes will help future generations as they become
part of our longitudinal studies on career issues in the 21st
Century.
*Career Vision only works with alumni who have established
a relationship with us by participating in one of our Assessment
Packages. Alumni have lifelong access to career support and
consulting services, in person or by phone, based on an hourly
rate.
